DV6TED4 isn't so bad assuming its looked after, spend a bucket load on preventative maintenance and youll save shed loads there after.

Can't find any rating information on my car I refuse to get a remap until I know everything will be okay.

It's always sensible to research the torque limits of one's gearbox & clutch first, however the best companies should always be conservative with their remapped outputs (up to + 20% bhp / torque is generally considered safe ) without hardware changes

Remaps are in 3 stages. Stage one is only done by software.
Once you approach the garage they will tell you what they can offer.
Remember that they did many engines in a past and they would do anything that could damage your engine.

If your engine is 16V you only get 6% in bhp and 7% in torque.

No, I'm pretty sure by 2012 it's the 8v 1.6 TDCi. You also have a DPF which hamper the remap. Don't take this the wrong way but you'll be best off asking some reputable remapping companies for advice on your car. :)

100% dpf fitted and it's the ceramic type so no eloys fill ups required at least.

Superchips can get me to 130BHP and 314nm torque, A garage close by very good company which mainly works on mini coopers have done a few Focus's in the past with great results say 147BHP and 324NM torque with 12 month guarantee.
