Louder Exhaust - Best Way To Achieve?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

This is my first post to the forum, just setup my account today.

I currently have a Ford Fiesta Metal (White) and have not made any mods / customisations to it as of yet.

Although the exhaust noise as stock has a fairly nice meaty sound to it, I am wanting to make this louder and more deeper. Something you can hear a little more when it is being Rev'd and pulling away.

What would be the best way of achieving this? I am not clued up on cars at all, apologies if this may sound a little amateur.

Thanks

Sam

Cut the back box off with a hacksaw.

I refuse to comment ;)

I went to somewhere that does Custom Exhausts and just got a backbox fitted. Although I might upgrade to catback towards end of the year (I have a Metal also)

Exactly what I am trying to get out of my metal! Any idea how much this cost? Does it pull away a little louder?

Cut a hole in the floor?

LOL, It's loud now yes, the video really doesn't do it justice. Anyway I went to Pro Speed in Cardiff. and it cost around £200 for them to fit it, but depending where you go might obviously be different. Have a look around for custom fabricators in your area and see what's what.

It depends how much you want to spend really mate

You could get a cat-back system like this one from Mountune, but there might be some cheaper ones available:

I'm not sure if that one will fit the Metal, should do but I'd ask them.

What about an induction kit? Would that make much difference?

^ Yes you'd get more induction noise, and I found that the engine noise was a bit deeper from inside the car after getting the Mountune MP215 which included an induction kit.

I also have the J1 too. . . Lovely sound.

Keep the neighbours awake lol
