Slight Engine Vibration

Featured Replies

Hi I have an issue with my 56 plate 1.6 tdci zs.

When car is idling if I blip the throttle and let the revs come down there is a noticeable vibration from the engine. This settles after about 3-5 seconds and disappears. It feel like a misfire.

I have no warning lights on console. Co-incidentally if feel the engine is less responsive and noisier when it's been running for a while and is hotter.

I'm going to throw some injector cleaner in see if makes any difference. Fuel filter was replaced at last service in April by previous owner.

I have recently done EGR blank but this was present before this.

Any ideas.

What did the previous owner fit? A genuine Ford part or a cheapo pattern part?

Good point il need to have a look. It was done at his local inde. Most likely pattern.

I know I only use genuine Honda fuel filters in my Cr-v. They seriously don't like pattern filters.

Replace the filter with a known good part and start from there.

Cheers sounds like a sensible approach.
