Speedo counter drops at any speed sometime ?

My mate is having a problem in that if she is driving along the road at any speed in any gear the speedo gauge will suddenly drop for no reason. sometimes the car even judders or sometimes stalls it dosnt happen all the time just is annoying when it does after a couple of minutes it gos back up to whatever speed the car is going at and it runs fine

any ideas ? :unsure:

    Just had this on mine its the speed sensor

    starting to fail' you need to get it sorted becasuse it can just pack up anytime

    and at any speed. WITHOUT warning

    tells you how to do it in haynes manual
