Mk6 Fiesta Van 1.4 Tdci Engine Conversion?

Featured Replies

Hi I've recently brought a 2008 fiesta van as a project, I've got the ST wheels, seats, rear seats, door cards and steering wheel and now decided next thing to buy would be a bigger engine, I originally thought about the Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCI engine but after reading on some forums I'm lead to believe it won't really fit easily without engine bay modification. Could anyone recommend any engines that would fit that still put out a good BHP from standard cheers

Hi,

The 2.0 st engine? Maybe the 2.0 tdci engine if you want diesel?

I have the pre dpf 1.6 tdci 16v, I have seen these go up to a solid 170bhp on the MK6 and i'm planning on doing that to my MK7.

Any engine swaps you do will need the wiring harness etc and I don't think its a weekend job!

I'm interested to see which route you go with this.

What kind of power are you looking for?

Cheers

Why not go for a hybrid turbo and bigger injectors for the 1.4? I would have thought that would get you 130bhp out of the 1.4tdci?

I was only thinking engine change as it's done 136,000 and sounds a bit ticky so thought I'd put a bigger lump in it as it's only the 67hp engine so is extremly sluggish, I don't mind the sound of the 1.6 tdci and play with that a bit

Hi, Would a focus 110 tdci engine fit a mk6.5 fiesta?

That would be interesting however check that it will fit in 👍

That is my only worry I can get a full car but unsure if the box will fit and work
