Ford Fiesta 63 Plate Washer Jet Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've got a 63 plate Ford Fiesta (999cc eco boost model), and it has standard jet screen washers.

I find the jets don't give a good coverage, so I was looking to perhaps replace them for the mist versions.

What are people's opinions on it, worth the switch?

If so, could anyone direct me to which ones would be suitable for my motor please?

Thanks in advance :)

This is what you need:

They do give you much better coverage and mean you use less washer fluid so that's a plus. The only downside is they spray a fair bit onto your bonnet. Easy install though.

I decided to get a set which were painted in my cars colour which you might want to consider. You can pick them up for between 15 and 20 pounds.

I'm happy to get them un-colour coded, but will they happily fit in a MK7, as well as a 7.5? I say that as I know the bonnets are a little different (though I only noticed this weekend when my and my partner both washed our Fiestas).

Also, is the height of the mist adjustable to minimise spray on to the bonnet? Anything would be an improvement on the somewhat mediocre jets I have currently!

I'm fairly sure that the jets will fit any fiesta facelift or not. I have tried to adjust them, block part of them etc. in the past to reduce the bonnet spray but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing it

Okay. Do you think they provide a good coverage on the windscreen to be worth the upgrade?

I am the kind of person who uses his washer jets probably more often than most...

They are definite improvement over the stock ones in terms of effectiveness yes. Certainly enough to warrant £10 anyway.

I use the my washer jets an awful lot living in such a rural area but I found that the windscreen wipers on the fiesta are pretty terrible at the best of times. So don't expect a night and day transformation when using the misters

i had them on my car but had to take the mist jets off as it was spraying over the car ............................. which is another downfall people have with them

some people put a drop of glue at the top of the opening and let it dry then use them brings the spray down but didnt work for me :(

Also good to note that the mk6 used the exact same part :)

I have them on mine and they are pretty good however dont work well over 80 ish
