1.4 Duratec - Larger Injectors???

Hi All,

I'm preparing my 2005 1388cc for stage rallying in the Class A's next year. So far it has the usual filter & exhaust mods along with a pair of extreme fast road camshafts, a little head porting & the compulsory remap making it run around 125bhp, better than the 85 as standard!

One of my other projects is waiting for the 2.0l silver top to be dropped in, however, the injector rail & regulator looks like it could be an easy swap.

QUESTION: Has anyone ever tried fitting larger injectors on this engine or the equivalent Sigma SE? If so, how did you get on and was it worthwhile? Obviously I would have to have another map done afterwards but that's no major task as I have a mate who runs a remap business.

    Never seen anyone offer injectors with a bigger nozzle for the 1.4, the 2.0 petrol & diesel are available.

    Maybe the physical size of the injector body is a limitation.
