I have a 2005 zetec s it has just begun not starting properly,first try sometimes it starts but if I have to stop and start again it fires but not fully as it won't rev if you pump the accelerator and it dies,leave it alone or pump it dies.when driving it feels like its lost power and it pushes 4100 rpm at 76 which seems high to me.the starting I have been informed maybe the ecu needing an upgrade.help needed lads and lasses

    Off the top of my head: battery could be the main culprit for it not starting at first try.

    It could also be the spark plugs.
