Hi peeps i got a focus zetec s 1.8 petrol brought it yesterday

iv just been out for a drive and was slowing down to stop at some lightsb and the engine stalled, i had it out of gear and clutch was down all the way i noticed it went below 1000rpm when it cut out any reason why??

Any help would be appreciated

    I thought it might be because its cold but when the engine was warm iv had no issues at moment. And unfortunately im not a mechanic so wouldn't have a clue where to start :(

    Been reading into it and could be a speed sensor or idle valve.
