Cookey09
Alright guys and girls, I'm really interested in having my rear windows tinted, I'd have the front two done... But as we all know, they are illegal, so, I'm looking to install wind deflectors - to look the part and help blend the light to dark tint... Aswell as the initial purpose of reducing the wind noise... Anybody got any to recommend? I've got a 5 door fiesta zetec, looking to get the deflectors for both front and rear windows. Thanks in advance. Cookey.
MarksST
It's either climair (from a ford dealer or fordpartsuk) or team heko from eBay. Both are very similar heko come with metal clips to keep them in place ( sometimes aren't needed). Deflectors can scratch the top edge of the glass, either make sure you keep the glass clean or fit a strip of self adhesive felt along the top edge of the deflector.
Marcr1
The Heko's don't tend to scratch the window as the clips separate the window from the deflector, They're both as good as eachother at the end of the day though. Climairs are a little pricier if I remember rightly as well
TitaniumWhite
Looking to fit wind deflectors myself, but doubt I would use them for their purpose and just a style element on the car, as I have climate control...and just looking to put them on the front windows, too. I know someone who has Heko on their Corsa and they look pretty good.
MONDEO TXS 2.2
I recommend Heko's.
Cookey09
Fantastic replies guys, any links would be useful, I've had a look round, but would like the climair ones to say sport on them... Picky... I know. If not, it's fine. I've seen some, could just do with links on what people have bought. Regards, the team Heko ones, I haven't actually had a look at them.. So links would be great. I'm not lazy, I will have look myself now, I just don't want to mugged off from eBay and buy dodgy ones... Cookey.
Cookey09
So, fitted my wind deflectors today. Easy enough. Didn't use the metal clips for the team heko's. Just the self adhesive tape. One issue. The drivers side one. Seems to be. How can I put this? Slipping? Only a fraction though. Going to leave my windows up for a couple of days to let them set. But anyone else had this issue? MONDEO TXS 2.2
Use the clips to stop them slipping

Seems like a daft question. But they're in the car. It's cold, dark and wet outside... it just seems to be my drivers side deflector that's the issue. Keeps slipping and moving. And maybe catching on the window?
MONDEO TXS 2.2
The clips simply push into the window channel in the door frame - use a wide bladed wallpaper scraper or credit card to push them in & make sure the barbs are the right way round - instructions should have come with the parts ? Cheers matey. And nope. No instructions. There was a diagram of slide the deflectors in place. Literally a two step diagrams for taking the deflector out of the packet and sliding it in... no more detail as what to do with clips etc... does the clip rest in the channel so it is split? With the glass between the clip?
Cookey09
So tried re-fitting my drivers side deflector using the clip. Not a prayer with it. No idea how it works. Its way too big for the channel? If I cant do it or find any guides or tips. Im going to throw teddy out of cot and scrap the idea... Cookey09
Just tried again and the clip squeezed into the channel. Scratching the deflector. After work. Am taking them off. Too much hassle. Looks smart. But way too much hassle.
