Been on it for the first time,put vin number in.

On the left it says 'vehicle software information is available for your vehicle click here'

When you go down the list you have the 3 options on some

install new module,software updates.service functions.

I have 3 'software updates'

FDIM / PCM and IPC

Are these updates that are there to be installed and how do you check if they have been done.

Also would ford tell you on a big service as service is done there.

Those are just updates released since your car was in your posession and the system doesnt recognise your VIN as having them on there.

I believe its kinda live, as when you are connected up, the Database is updated and that software is removed from the available list.

You know as you say ''Dont recognise my vin'' is that as for the up-date as my car is all on there.

I thought the updates from etis were pulled from the main Ford db which dealers completing downloads update to reflect it...

I aint got a clue how this works,put my VIN in the car and everything pops up and the items i put in

the first post on here.

I rang up where the car was serviced before i had it off the stamps in my book and he said he was a person who

looked after his cars and FORD mad,had car for 3 years and to ford for a new larger one,again with all high spec stuff.

So it was not serviced at ford but with ford parts so would the up-date been checked when i took the car in to ford for service.

Is this list of stuff to state it still have up-dates to be done as if its what you said it would of been cleared on the list.
