Fiesta S-reg-1998 Hazard Warning Lights Randomly Flashing Issue

I am having an issue where the hazard warning lights of my S-Reg Fiesta are just randomly turning on.

Yesterday I parked the car up at 4.30pm. Locked the doors and everything was fine. A relative seen it out of the window at 7am and all was fine. And then at 8am out of the blue the hazard warning lights (i.e all four indicators) started flashing and would not stop.

I went and unlocked and locked the doors to the car and all was fine, for 10mins. Then did it again.

Went back. All fine for 30mins then did it again. And again.

Have now left my car unlocked and its not doing it no more.

I have phoned the garage and they suggest its the alarm causing this and to bring it in and it could cost any price to get fixed the garage said depending on how serious the fault causing this

The car is only worth £75 in perfect condition according webuyanycar and I really do not care that much about it. Its a car to get me from A to B.

I had an idea, and am not sure if its a good one. But is there possibly a fuse for the alarm that I can just remove the fuse and just stop this flashing and just have my car unalarmed.

I really do not want to pay the garage anything as money is not good for me right now so if this is a simple fix I would do.

If not any other ideas?

    my gfs car does the same. with the warning lights sounds the alarm..
