Any Help Would Be Appreciated .. Noise After Engine Turned Off ..

Featured Replies

Looking for some help please. For the last couple of months I have had a problem, in as much as my car seems to be leaking water .. the water from the coolant tank. It was replaced a couple of months ago and during the heat the fan would stay on for what seemed like ages after the engine was turned off. More recently, in the last few weeks I have had to take water with me to fill the coolant up with, called my mechanic who said the water seemed to be leaking from the coolant tank again .. he has replaced it, but the water is still leaking! ... He will be coming to have a look at it again within the next few hours, but this morning as it was in the drive with the engine running (hoping to get some water to come out) ... I turned the engine off and it made this sound ...

heres a video, mother uploaded to her fb .. If you are going to look, you might need to turn the sound right up!

Thanks for looking ...

Noise is the aircon closing vents nothing to worry about.

If the water is blowing out the expansion tank you may have a blown head gasket.

Do they actually use head gaskets these days? I thought it was a line of robot applied gunge.

Thank you for your input guys .. the noise issue is reassuring.

Although the car is making a noise this morning, my mechanic couldn't find a leak (Y)
