Help Needed On T.v Hdmi/scart Adapter

Featured Replies

Advice on ways would be great as its an problem i have to solve fast.

T.V packed in upstairs and i run 2 powered CCTV through it and its scart,32'' t.v.

Looked at curry's and Argos for a t.v with 2 scart but they don't do them anymore (curry's say).

I was going for Samsung as i have one now and smart tv.

So i need to convert a HDMI to a SCART socket or another way.

I have one of those,a 5 way and a 3 way.

Advantage of the HDMI way i can still switch camera to camera through t.v remote on the AV selection.

And i had problems if i remember being the scart box was not powered and the camera is in color and powered.

If the TV you're looking at only has one scart socket then it will also have several other connections which a scart can connect to with an adapter i.e. composite, component and S-Video connections. Or if it doesn't even have one scart socket you could use component and S-Video for the two CCTV cameras.

M8 your spot on,never thought of the composite/rgb etc one as its just the color leads and pop it in and then on

remote on the AV /composite etc.

So if this is the case its a female scart with cables on the other end to pop into t.v.

^ Yeah that would do it. But that's only composite, so if your cameras output in RGB and if you're bothered about the quality, you might be able to find something similar that converts to component or S-Video.

Scart to coaxial converter,

Then plug coaxial in to multiroom splitter.
