Hi all,

Anybody tried these with their cars?

If so, how do they perform? claiming an extra 37bhp for my car...

Thanks in advance,

Hi Mark,

What kind of gains are you getting on it then pal from stock?

Cheers!

Stock bhp was 197 . . it's now 230 bhp & I can't remember the stock torque but it's now 505nm - which is more than enough ! :)

jesus, 33bhp increase, thats a HELL of a lot of torque too!

Did it set you back much if you dont mind me asking?

Safe increases in bhp & torque are often within + 20% to + 25% which ensures there are no gearbox or drivetrain issues.

As the car was only 6 months old I didn't want anything extreme & tbh the 2.2 engine wasn't exactly a slouch before the remap, which has increased the '' driveability '' beyond measure.

The remap cost £395

Diesels benefit more from a remap than petrol engines, but as your car is turbo petrol it should gain nicely from Bluefin

Sounds well worth it! like I said, i'd be looking at around 37-40bhp increase and and 77nm in torque increase, thats like 30% in each which is epic!

Bluefin is decent as you can easily revert it back to standard for warranty based bits. I just don't like their figures if honest; those are bold claims on a stock engine in my eyes seeing most places quote that with an uprated intake and exhaust to go with them. Fair enough if it's as claimed though.

Mine was dyno'd before, during & after remapping - so I'm comfortable that my figures are accurate.

Just installed bluefin in my mondeo 2.0 tdci 163 bhp. Now 185 bhp and lots more torque, has transformed the car so far. Mpg will hopefully be improved also when I stop booting it👍
