Spark Plugs

Featured Replies

Hi guys

My fiesta is a 2014 has 18.5k on it and I don't think the plugs were changed on the first service(6.5k in April)

What mileage interval should they be changed?

I'm getting crap fuel economy, sometimes struggles to start and lacks power up hills.

Thanks

Jon.

Which engine is it ?

37.5k service intervals or 3 years on most petrol fords

37.5k is excessive - like most of Fraud's service item intervals - I'd change them every 12k & 20k maximum

my partners honda is around 60k, had a suzuki and that was 63k , and did 100k on them.

Not all cars run on NGK, some only run correctly on Bosch or cheapo ones

My neighbour's 63 plate 1.25 Zetec would not run on NGK's - Bosch were fine

Is anyone going to help? Or you just going to talk about spark plugs?

Your question was answered - Fraud recommend 37,500 miles for spark plug changes

I & others advise changing them at circa 12,000 miles

So I should probably change them?

Can I change them or ford gotta do it? Having other issues atm so don't wanna void warranty

What's everyone preference? NGK? Bosch? ;) haha

As above, your question was answered. Also, your topics named spark plugs, not a question about spark plugs. Ie, some might assume its general conversation

I like these lol
