Removing Chrome Trim Around Outside Windows

Featured Replies

Hi there, Is it possible to remove the chome trim around the outside of the mk7 fiesta? If you can remove it, does it just look like this?

I would probably look at plasti dipping it? atleast you can peal it off if you go to sell the car on?

Don't really want to go down that road, I just want to remove the chrome to it looks like this. Is it just a case of peeling the chrome trim off?

Don't think it is that simple, it might be clipped onto a different molding to the non chrome versions, most people would just get it wrapped

I read on here somewhere the chrome trim is bonded to the window frame - whether it's easily removable or not without damage I know not

I looked into this and found its not possible to remove the rear trim without taking out the glass.

As mentioned above mate plastidip it or wrap like I have.

Think ill just get it wrapped, seems to be the best way. Cheers !

I posted a while back seeing if I could buy the chrome trim for my car, but it's attached to the windows.

How do you "wrap" the trim?

do you have a link or guide to doing this?
