The Rise And Fall Of The Ford Capri

Nice read, agreed the MK1 was certainly the best of the best, wasnt a fan of the MK2 styling (I say that like I was there!) and the MK3 looked the better of the worse.

Its a shame it went out of fashion and so many were written off by young lads, but I wouldnt mind one day getting my hands on an MK1 2.0!

Totally agree

I did, however, many cars ago, own a Mk1 2.0L. It met an untimely end: a Volvo rear-ended me at a T-junction

It was my third car and my second Ford

it looks freakin awesome I must admit, but its not the original sadly.

Have to agree there

Now I prefer the mk2 out of the whole bunch. My mate's Grandad had one, custom two-tone paint job, 3 litre, slatted rear window and spoiler, and to top it off it had air horns. He eventually chopped it in for a Peugeot 309. God knows why.

Ford unfortunately aren't going to make a Capri I read extensively about this a year ago the did a prototype car which wasn't officially named for the shows

Read somewhere from Ford development that the mustang in UK is the coupe to have pretty much

Shame as I loved the prototype

My dealer told me last month it is definitely going to happen. Guess we just have to wait and see

That was a great read Daniel.

Hopefully they do bring that new style Capri out. Is it just me or does it look a lot like the Aston Martin.

Looking through the slideshow on the Auto express. I cant remember any my Capri`s having that much leg room in the back
