Condensation In The Headlights!

Featured Replies

Just had the 2015 Fiesta Zetec 1.0 ecoboost 100ps for just over a week now, and after driving in the rain or damp conditions, the headlights have a lot of condensation in them.....and I have read in the literature that it is suppose to happen as there are "vents" in the light cluster, in this day and age ...surely not!..... what are your thought on this?.

True.

The lamp housings are vented, which should prevent condensation, but the opposite effect seems common, although the condensation should not be permanent

If the lights were completely sealed then as the bulb heated the air inside the cluster it could crack it, or split a joint somewhere from the pressure change.

If you think the condensation is excessive, take it back to the dealer to be checked.

The manual normally says what is acceptable and what isn't.

I noticed some slight condensation in both my headlights the other day. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
