Ford Fiesta - Loss Of Power

Featured Replies

Good morning all,

Apologies if this is a repeat thread, I have searched for same problems but it seems posts found were from a few years ago.

I bought last month a 3 year old Ford Fiesta 1.25 Edge, which had its first MOT and a service with no advisories etc and passed first time. Everything is fine however sometimes I have had a loss of power in the car and it struggles to accelerate when I put my foot on the pedal (clutch is fully in and I am in first gear) and it just basically judders with no lights on the dashboard or anything. I took this into the garage to get looked at as I have 6 months warranty a couple of weeks ago and they had to update some diagnostics apparently, but it happened again last night for the first time since. Has anyone else had this problem and how was it solved? What's the problem here?

It has happened even when I am doing 30mph too.

Thanks for your help!

Coil pack is a common problem on the mk6.

Also worth checking, is for water in the spark plug well. it works its way in from around the washer jets, although this can be solved with Mist type washer jets. I think your car should already have the rubber seals being a facelift model.
