Recommendation & Is There An Easy Fix?

Featured Replies

First I'm looking for a fix as I can't figure it out for the life of me. I've some how managed to break my interior light - I changed the bulb and now the bulb holder has come loose. I've put it back together though will only stay off and turn on if the switch is actually in the centre (left for turning off, centre for when doors open and right for on) though it won't switch on when put it to the right? Any ideas?

I'm after a recommendation - I'm not a major car guy so hardly know the left to the right when it comes to 'doing up a car' though decided to keep my current car and have a bit of a play. Which exhaust would you recommend to get? I've seen that many vary from £350-£1000. So any recommendations will be great.

Car is a 2011 Fiesta Zetec S

Thanks.

The interior light is easy to change, although putting back together took me a while too.

The switch has two copper legs coming off it, which slides across the circuit inside the light to activate the light in different positions. I tried bending these in all sorts of directions to get the light to work. Eventually I got the light to work correctly, the two copper legs need to be bent in towards each other, and then simply re-built back up.

As regards to a exhaust, is it diesel or petrol?

I'll have to take a photo of my interior light as I did take it apart and tried to put it back together, and like you said 'fiddling' seems to sort it but I can't get the connection right for the life of me. the 'legs' seem to slide in if you turn it (If I can remember) but only a certain way it will work as described. But if 'place it' on top then it works differently.

It's a petrol :)

I thought i had taken a photo of it, but can't find it on my phone. Try bending them towards each other and see how it goes, i nearly gave it, but then all of a sudden it worked as it should. So I've left it, and don't really want to touch it again.

Ah ok, mines a diesel so can't help with the exhaust

Ignore me! I've been playing with the wrong thing. Just gone out and took it all apart found the copper parts and 3 mins later its now working. Thanks for that - going blind haha.
