Mk6 1.3 To A St150

Featured Replies

Hey guys, so I have a 54 plate 1.25 fiesta finesse, 5 door. I've had it for a little bit, had a few stuff done to it not too much, coils, alloys, new filters, almost full exhaust system. I'm wondering if it would be possible to fit a ST150 engine in, I just want a little bit more power as the standard 75 is terrible! Would the car take it? Would it be possible

I doubt if the gearbox would be happy & your insurance company may bankrupt you too . . . :(

More stopping power would be required too

That is a big job....for what that would cost I'd imagine an actual st 150 would cost about the same... unless your a qualified mechanic with a scrap st then you'll be laughing...why did you buy a 75 bhp fiesta for in the first place, from that to a 150 is a big funk in leap..

So.. amongst other things, you'd need

St150 engine

St150 gearbox

St150 engine bay wiring loom

Matching St150 ECU

Matching ST150 clocks

Matching 150 transponder ring

Matching keys

St150 driveshafts

St150 engine anciliaries

St150 brakes front & rear

St150 handbrake setup

St150 fuel pump

St150 fuel lines

St150 exhaust manifold

St150 exhaust

I'd go for new seats too as you'll fly out of the standard ones cornering.. I do on the standard 1.4 when I'm having a good time

I had a quote for £1400 for all of these parts from a breakers.

You then have to account for

Labour

Insurance

Garage checks for engine size etc to adjust vehicle registration

Probably cheaper to buy an ST150...
