simcor
Saw this and wondered what other peoples thoughts on it were? Or if anyone has one of these and has any feedback on it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151900062587?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I like it for a couple of reasons, it replaces your normal rear view mirror, it also blends into the car as normally as possible.# And with an extra camera it has a reverse camera function. GMX
I'm sure I've read a post on here, quite recently on, if not that particular model, something very similar. It wasn't long after I joined, but it doesn't follow it was a recent post

Addyshan
No don't get that either get a möbius dash cam or I have a mini 0801 or a118 which is cheaper and has had good reviews. You prob have seen this guys reviews on YouTube but il post up a link anyways. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ0Tm9FFpKM
simcor
The reason I linked to that is for a more OEM look then something else stuck in the windscreen. What are your reasons for saying don't get it other than cost?

My sil has got one of those I think? Or a cam that sits right over her rear view anyway. It takes a few seconds to revert from showing you what it's filming to working as a rear facing mirror, tbh that and the fact my mirror is a singing dancing auto blinding stopping mirror put me off it.I've got a nextbase 302 and my husband a nextbase 402 - both excellent cams imo, we've got a mobius as well but the lack of screen and fact light is obscured / tiny / hard to make out even at night put me off it - might use it as a rear facing dunno yet still toying with that one...(see other thread)
simcor
Thanks for the comments. Not sure which type I am going to go for yet. Still undecided.

Addyshan
So what is it u want how much you willing to spend. Do you want one that is hidden that you could just leave in the car or do you want one that your can take away. If you want a hidden one with a rear view cam have a look for a k1s dual dash cam, prices are over £100 they are mini cams which you put up but you also get a screen with it aswell, you can put it in park mode so that after you leave car it keeps recording for 60mins.
simcor
Ideally I wanted a dual camera setup front and rear but they all tend to cost over 100 quid to up to 200 quid. I want one with decent quality footage, ideally parking mode either motion or g sensor for car park bump type of thing. Not too fussed if it has GPS or speed functions. I want the camera/cameras to be as small and discreet as possible. It will be permanent fitment in the car. No idea on how much I am prepared to spend yet, ideally with the functions I want at a reasonable cost. I just liked the idea of replacing my rear view mirror with that one with the cam built in. jeebowhite
To be honest dual cams are good, but it may be better to run them individually. If one goes you can deal with it, and still have protection, but if both go in one unit your back to square one. Also with single cameras, you have at least got two separate recording times, so it lasts twice as long. simcor
Yeah that is a consideration. Still no nearer to deciding what camera to go for lol
jeebowhite
It depends what you want. If you want cheap and cheerful both front and rear, I highly recommend the GS8000L Its robust, and doesnt disappoint. If you want a bit more quality, no screen, and a bit more discretion, go for the Mobius. Its a great camera, but takes a little longer to setup and configure, but its a great cam. If you want one with GPS, fine HD, and other bells and whistles, and dont want to break the bank, keep an eye out for the one I have at the moment - Ausdom 261. I am really happy with this camera!!! GMX
I would recommend what I've got, but if your hesitating over the £100-200 daschcams - I won't: as mine cost around £400 once I got an additional UPS and I got it discounted too. The K1S that Addy recommended is a good cheaper one, and has the advantages of being discrete. I was considering that until I discovered the Lukas 9750HD
