She Ain't Heavy, She's My Nissan...

I missed the "big turnover", but did catch it at 200,002 miles.

Quite an achievement for a 2005 saloon, which was really only designed for the average family, but this particular model ended up being a taxi and was bought by me at 193,000 miles 4 months ago.

4 months and 7,000 miles later, it has passed the 200k mark and the 1.8 petrol engine (never had any repairs other than a yearly oil change and a new clutch last year) still runs like brand new.

The 2000 Ford Focus could easily have made the 200k mark too, but being 5 years older than the Nissan, its body was suffering and the vehicle equivalent of cancer (corrosion) had taken hold. It wasn't worth repairing just to get another 12 months out of it before another big MOT failure.

just run in at that mileage

I sure hope so! She might just be the "microwave car" (boring yet useful) but if she can keep going for a few years I'll be happy.
