Heater Blower Blowing Out Of Wrong Vents

hi , I have a mk7 fiesta on a 10 plate , when I have got the blower on and have it on windscreen it blows out of the side vents ,then if i turn it to side vents it blows out of the footwell vents ,if i put it on footwell vents it does blow out of footwell vent anyone else have this fault.

    The cable has been inserted in the wrong slot in the rear of the heater controls. you need yo remove the cable and reinsert it
