6000Cd Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi

I was wondering if I have bluetooth in my cd player 6000cd ford it show here on youtube

but i do not get that option any one no why?

Switch your radio on, turn your phone's Bluetooth on, if it sees the radio then you have Bluetooth, if your Radio/cd player doesn't appear in your phones Bluetooth list, you won't have Bluetooth. Simplest way to check!

You already said you don't have the option to switch it on so it would have taken 30 seconds to try my suggestion. If your avatar picture is your car then Ford Etis states no telephone .... See attached screenshot.

Yes that is my car why it does not have bluetooth?

Iirc cars with the 6000CD were built without Bluetooth. It looks like yours falls into that category.

It would probably be cheaper fitting an aftermarket kit (e.g. parrot) than trying to retrofit

  • 10 months later...

Hello people.

My search for this issue led me to this forum. I've recently bought a Ford Fiesta TDCi (2006 production year) and it comes with Ford Audio 6000cd system. I've tried finding the bluetooth function to connect it to, but i have no luck in finding it. I've gone to the ADV MENU option and then after CLIP OFF all i see is NO VID and that's about it. The menu goes off and there is no sign of BT on option.

Should i add something to this NO VID section so i have my BT on?

Please help. Thank you very much,

Igor

Bluetooth was an optional extra, and is available with the standard CD6000 as well as the Sony head unit. To retrofit, you need (I did this a couple of weeks ago with these);

  • Bluetooth jumper loom (finis 1429813) £78.56 from ford (If you're lucky you'll find the jumper in one being broke, but most came as part as a whole dash loom, different to those without Bluetooth.
  • Bluetooth Module (part number has to start in 7M5T for fiestas, ones that start with 8 are USB ones for focus and mondeos) £30 ish from a breaker - Blue editions came with Bluetooth so guaranteed to find one from them, located behind the glovebox on a bracket.
  • Bluetooth Mic (biggest giveaway if a fiesta has bluetooth or not, can be seen on the drivers A pillar at the top) - Got quoted £25 from a breaker for one (known for being very expensive) but I'm sure you can pick them up for £10.

Fitting:

  • Feed the current radio connector down the left side of the radio bezel and add the new one to it.
  • Feed the bluetooth connector of the jumper loom to behind the glove box area and connect the module to it (I didn't have a bracket so had to use cable ties) and the mic connector to under the steering column.
  • Take the A pillar cover off and feed the mic lead down the gap, clip the mic to the top of the a pillar and refit.
  • Connect the connector of the mic lead to the connector of the loom under the steering column somewhere safe so it wont get caught.
  • Refit the radio and away you go, no need to program anything.

When you press the phone button it will now say no phone connected rather than mute. I did this on a Kuga Sony head unit and tested it with my ST Sony head unit as well as the standard CD6000 and all worked fine.

When someone calls you it will interrupt the radio/CD/Aux and display the name on the radio. Press the phone button on the radio or the mode button on the audio stalk to answer, then the same buttons to hang up. Unfortunately it doesn't allow for music over bluetooth due to the 7M5T module but I'm looking into getting the other one working so I can do this.

Hope this helps you, if you need any more info just ask.

What about a Transit? Which add on module for the 6000CD unit?
