ShaunZS125
I was wondering if anyone has tried a Revo map on their ecoboost 125? There's a place near me that uses Revo and their post mapped figures look really promising. Also how much can these little 3 pots take before you need to start worrying about the internals / clutch failing. Thanks Shaun
Paramanic
I havent got the Revo map but hear good things about them I have got the Bluefin map which is amazing! and love it! there was a mag around a wee while ago and tested Revo, Mountune, superchips (bluefin) collins performance and pumaspeed..... many of the claimed performance these remaps say they do were falling short of what there saying..........only a couple didnt go down collins if a remember wasnt too bad only like 1 or 2hp lower superchips was spot on and a tad over Mountune were the best they actually were above what they said (should be 165ps and was something like 169ps) cant remember the rest 2bh as it was a while ago now but i have heard alot of good things from Revo infact not heard any bad things the internals are fine till around 175bhp if a remember and the clutch isnt the problem is usually the driver with missed gears or pushing them too hard so hard to say about the clutch but a can say a guys running his car 197bhp with standard clutch so cant be too bad

What's a decent and proven induction kit / filter for these and is it only Miltek that do a de cat as there's is pretty steeply priced at nearly £250!! Thanks for the info
Paramanic
no probs buddy :D right there a few good options for the inuduction kits wise ............ me i had the cone filter which is a j1 kit (got it from pumaspeed with hose) but it let it heat which isnt good for a cold air feed the noise from it sounded great but the heat actually made the car slower and less responsive (heat soak) i sold that and got myself a mountune induction it has less noise but the responsiveness from the engine and better performance was increased greatly! Other ppl are using AS stage 2 filters etc with good reports also using R sport from pumaspeed but it NEEDS at HEAT SHIELD! or it will let in heat soak back to the one i use the mountune one is a metal box with a green filter (or something brand name) inside it has a secondary air feed which i connected it to the fog light area which lets in great amount of air and the car loves it also if your using cheap petrol a thought premium petrol was not needed but it makes the car feel alot better it becomes faster to respond too i used cheap stuff for 6months then switched to v power used that for 2months but engine wasnt too keen on it then ive been using Tescos Momentum and car loves it and getting more mpg too! :D
