Well took my Fiesta Titanium 2014 to the Ford dealer as the puddle led light under the door mirror has stopped working.

Short story they will not replace it under warranty and it's a full mirror purchase as its sealed!!!

Anyway got speaking to the Ford tech for a few seconds and he said just buy the led from their parts department and fit it myself. Part costs £14.

He said it's an easy job but didn't get to ask him any instructions before his supervisor came up.

Anyway does anyone have any instructions etc that will not end up with me breaking the mirror glass.

Have taken a look on you tube but could not find any for my car.

Any help greatly appreciated

Sorry, the dealer says its a sealed unit but the tech says it can be replaced, if you buy the part that the dealer says isn't possible to replace from the parts department.

Why not get the tech to tell his service manager that it can be done and get them to do it.

Angle the mirror lens down, look inside at the top edge, you will see 3 tabs, these need pushing in to release the cover. (Owners manual shows you how for replacing the indicator bulb). Tech doesn't think you mean indicator bulb or part for a focus etc.

This pic shows the rectangular holes the tabs locate into.

I would go back to Ford - I remember another thread on here where water had gotten into the puddle light, they were told it was a sealed unit and the whole thing was replaced under warranty.
