Hi all,

Thought I'd join up and say hello as I've just bought a 2001 Fiesta Flight 1.3 for the wife to use as a runabout and even though it was (relatively) cheap I have a sinking feeling it might end up being a bit of a money pit for me, so will be looking on the forums for some DIY things to help maintain the car and save money in the long run.

I've already had to do the battery as it came with what may as well have been a 9v from an old smoke alarm it was that crap, and the recent cold weather finished it off for good.

First thing to do next weekend is flush and replace the coolant, as a quick inspection of the expansion tank this morning revealed it is most definitely rusty orange rather than bright red!
