New to this
Ford fiesta 1.4 zetec 2004. Hi, so yeah this problem started a few days ago for me, when accelerating hard my car revs very high(to the redline) but doesn't gain speed? This happens at any speed,in any gear, and no conditions need to be met to make it happen(like going uphill ect). It's like a put my foot down and there is no power the car will just rev for ages before finally gaining a small amount of speed. karl46
Sounds like a clutch problem. Clutch worn and slipping.

Stoney871
Is the car not of the condition where a new clutch would suffice? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Unfortunately not, the clutch is just the major problem at the moment, after that I still have too much that needs to be done with the car to get it up to a safe standard so I need to cut my losses and get rid I think. Stoney871
Always a pity when you come to the end of the active life of a car. Any ideas on the car you want next? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
