If you are considering getting a red/black, DO IT

Recently bought a 2015 Red Edition Fiesta and I must say it is an amazing car.

As an 18 year old I cannot afford ST insurance, but the 1 Litre 140PS ecoboost engine really suffices as a quick and smooth lump.

The throaty roar of the 3 pot is not too dissimilar from one of a Ford Mustang (give or take a few decibels:wink:) and delivers a large amount of power when the turbo spools at about 2,300RPM.

The handling on Fiesta's has always been brilliant and this one is no different.

For what it lacks in equipment (which it still has plenty of) it really makes up for it by being a lovely bit of kit to drive.

If you are a young driver and want to get a ST, this car is a great substitute and with the soon to be installed MR165 kit will be a rorty naughty beast:twisted:

Glad you like it.

Whats you're insurance on that at 18 btw?

I managed to get it with 1200 a year with no box 1 years NCB

Might seem dear to anyone else but from a teenagers perspective its v.good.

To put things into perspective last year my 1.2 zetec (2007) was 2700 to insure

That is good yeah!  I had to pay £2400 for a years insurance when I was 18 (2010), on a lowered 1.4 (75ps) 306...

Lol...  My Nan bought a newbuild bungalow in 1968 for £4000...

Inflation sucks...  In 50 years time we'll think nothing of paying a few million for cars...

First years insurance on a 1.4 96 BHP Fiesta was £1100 (Was 21 at the time)

You've all got some decent insurance prices (minus the instances of £2k+), I'm sure they'll drop given time.

Unfortunately that's not the case in my area, I'm 22, had my license for over 4 years, 1 year NCB (was insured under my father's name previously) and I'm paying £1,145 on my 1.4L Fiesta with tracker!

I'd love to spend that money elsewhere, or at least pay that price without tracker. :(

P.S. I've completed PassPlus and I have access to another vehicle. :(

Im getting the zetec s 125 is there much difference to the black/red edition?

Paint colours.. and they're 140ps not 125. Same engine though so have the same remap potentials
