Know the mk7 is a bit of a fiddle, on the end of dash is a trim piece that pulls off, then theres a gap though which you insert a long screwdriver and push on 2 clips , one at top of switch, other at bottom of switch. assume 7.5 is the same

OKay I'll give it a go tonight cheers

For removing trim and parts of the plastic interior use something like these tools.

Really good, I have them myself, metal screwdrivers - one slip you've scratched all your plastic

A good set of Bojo tools are well worth having.

camt me get the steering wheel bit off, anyone know how it comes off? Surely the centre piece doesn't need removed

Three screws on the back, one at the top of either side and one at the bottom then prise it off with your trim removal tool. Don't forget to detach the steering wheel controls when you can!
