Timty
I have a 1999 Fiesta Ghia with the 1.25 zetec engine. I have located the coolant sensor fitted under the ignition coil. Can anyone tell me is this also the sensor that is used to drive the engine temperature gauge in the instrument panel? I'm trying to solve what seems to be a common problem where the car stalls at the first junction after a cold start. Lots of suggestions around idle speed control valve, TPS and coolant temp sensor. The gauge reads absolutely normally so if the same sensor drives the gauge and tells the ecu the coolant temperature I'm inclined to rule that out.
