engine undershoots when slowing down ford do know about this problem and have 2 technical notes aganist it

1.reprogram PCM (Powertrain control module) with latest software (Had that done no change)

2.Replace clutch pedal sensor with modified bracket (Had that done before i got the car)

-------------------------------

Took it to my mate down at ford and after spending a hour of pluggin it in and out on the IDS (IDS Ford diagnostic system)running loads of tests computer found that there was nothing wrong

We checked something called the PCV (Positive Crank Ventilation valve) Little valve behind inlet manifold will post some pictures when i get chance and found that this was burnt out and buggered basically.

So because our mom has the same ford focus as me i borrowed hers worked a treat no more stalling or backfiring into engine

I shall be getting my new valve tomorrow and fitting it but anyways happy days finally i have solved the great big myth even my local ford dealer could not solve.

I hope this info helps and wouldlikethis post to be stickyed if possible as i know a few other ford owners who have the same problem.

Problem Solved :)

Cheers

Matt
