Fiesta Mileage

Featured Replies

Hi, I own a 2004 Fiesta lx mk6 1.24L, I bought this as my first car about this time last year with 55k miles on it, it now has 64k miles, I was just wondering whats the average lifespan of one of these like mileage wise. My dads a mechanic and the car is in good condition engine wise only thing he noticed is the catalytic converter needs replacing but it passed NCT/MOT this January

My 2006 1.4L Petrol Fiesta Freedom passed it's M.O.T. today in a Ford dealer with no advisories for the second time in a consecutive year. The vehicle is on 90k mileage and I have no mechanical faults. The engine still starts up first time even in the winter, I also had it serviced today and can't fault it really; I do take care of my vehicle as much as I can.

The difference between our cars would be that mine is a 1.4L and is 2 years newer (practically the same sans the engine and facelift), however your vehicle has significantly lower mileage compared to mine. As mine is still in mint condition (IMO), if well taken care of, I think you should be able to have your car for quite some years to come.

Whilst my vehicle was in service, I had a conversation with the receptionist and I stated my vehicle is relatively high mileage in a friendly manner; he reassured me stating that the dealer often provides courtesy cars around the same year and make as my vehicle and they have over 140k mileage on a petrol engine. With that statement, I do expect our cars to run for quite some time yet, even more so for your car since it's only on 64k mileage. If you have a diesel, then I can only expect it to last even longer.

Had a mk6 fiesta with just over 100,000 on it, no smoke or oil leaks and the only reason I got rid of it was I traded it in for a 2008 focus mk2 facelift around last February which had 31,000 on it!

2007 1.4 petrol fiesta.. This was about 2 weeks ago.. 100k and Still runs like a dream.... Touch wood...... had her from brand new.. Never let me down :)
