Engine Cutting out on deceleration

Featured Replies

Fusion 2003 87000 Miles.

Car runs and Idles beautifully, pulls strong in all gear and has always been serviced with Genuine Ford Parts.  Just had a full service.

On approaching a junction, clutch depressed the car occasionally cuts out.  Starts fine again with no complaints.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem (even the same year car) after a timing belt change. The shop took it back, claimed they didn't do anything and the problem hasn't returned since.

So a mystery for me too..

Had that problem on a Golf mk3 our son had, turned out to be a dirty throttle body, quick clean and it never missed a beat again.
