New car... Car matts?

Featured Replies

Just ordered a new fiesta will i get car matts? It doesnt say on the recipt sheet i have the accessories but surly should be standard if spending over 10k????

not a lot of the time, mine had mats but it was second hand, replaced them with the ford rubber mats anyway. Carpet mat on the drivers side was badly worn even though the car was only a year old

i thought all new cars came with mats, lower spec rubber, higher spec carpet.

I prefer rubber, easier to keep clean and dont wear so much.

Not always. Since quite a few years/cars ago we have always requested a free set to be included, just to make sure. Never refused/charged. Can't see any reasonable dealer, main or otherwise, would baulk on such a modest consideration? Would give them a quick bell and say something along the lines of..."just checking the usual set of mats will be in the car?". Many main dealer 'sets' are quite basic anyway, their prices sometimes not!.....for a reason?.....or am I being too unkind and cynical?!!
