Advice on wing mirror fix, 62 reg

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just looked through a few posts but couldn't quite find an issue similar to mine for advice, so hoping someone might be able to help!

I've been proudly driving my 62 reg Fiesta since December, but got a bit over ambitious pulling into a tight parking bay the other day. Squeezed it in fine, but clipped my passenger wing mirror on the way out (other car was fine!). The damage isn't major, electrics all work etc, but in the dark and rain when I got out to retrieve the casing that had fallen off, I seemed to miss a bit. I've got all the back casing, currently taped on, but I've lost the front face plate bit that helps hold it all together. Thought I'd maybe be able to buy one somewhere, but no luck, I can mostly find whole wing mirrors or indicator kits. Any advice? Even if I got the part, would it be an easy fix or should I just take it to a garage? I'd prefer not to since the damage is so minor, just seems that faceplate bit was pretty integral...

Thanks in advance!
