Went to move the rear seat forward so that I could put something in the back of my 3 door and when I pulled the handle the seat didn't move, so I pulled a bit harder and this happened.

How do I fix this, is it easy or do I want to take it to a garage?

Id take that back to the garage to sort out, it's a new car isn't it?

It is yeah. I work at the dealership where I got it from and our workshop is rammed full for the next few days. Just thought if it was an easy fix I could do it myself and save them the trouble.

Apparently it is a right pain. When my dad picked up his fiesta the other week they said to not pull the seat with the handle because if it breaks it's a pain to fix.

might sound like a silly question but why are you asking a forum when theres a garage full of technicians to ask even if there to busy to fix

its only a 5 min fix if you know how,

When I first got my mk6 I did notice that there was a lot of Ebay listing for this seat handle on the 3 door model, now I see why! I can also see that Ford havn't bothered to fix the issue in the later models either!
