Fitting Roof Rack to my Fiesta MK7

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am the owner of a 61 plate 3 door Ford Fiesta Zetec, owned from new, but never considered putting a roof rack on until recently.

I went out and bought a Thule Roof Rack, which uses 2 feet on the door, and then the "extension bar" to the back. When carrying a kayak, this becomes unsafe and it works its way loose.

On the older fiesta's I know they had proper mounting places on the roof which you screw into, so I went looking to see if mine does too under the gully. From what I found I have those holes. ( At least front passenger side I found one.)

From this link: http://www.jamessimpson.co.uk/fitting-fiesta-roof-bars-ford-fiesta-mk7/ he is showing its possible, but where do I buy the bits needed to do it? I would need replacement strips with a cut out for the screw, the new mounting brackets, and I cannot seem to find them anywhere.

Is it possible?

Links to bits required please :)

Thanks

Joe
