Mid rear seats dont fold. Help please

Hello 

I saw today a second hand ford smax 2006 zetec. 

I managed to fold the two seats from the third row and i managed to fold the middle seat from the second row. 

Unfortunately i didnt manage to fold the other two seats (the one next to the doors) from the second row. 

Basically when i pull the red thing the back of the seat come forward and the whole seats slides forward but dont fold.

Do you have any advise please?

    to be honest, I havent had the greatest deal of experience folding seats in an SMAX, but I had some in my CMAX. 

    often, it can just be something caught in the mechanism.
