Coolant sensor location

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the coolant sensor location on a 2004 1.4l fusion? When I turn my key in the morning the temp gauge is half way up and its near impossible to start, when it does start it misses and cuts out till it gets warm then runs as normal.

Petrol or diesel? If it's the 1.4 TDCi it's plugged into the thermostat which is under the battery tray somewhere

Hi it's petrol, I've found it under the coil pack. Looks like it's gonna be hard to get to, gonna have to change it this week it's giving me eac fails and the Engine light has come on, hopefully it hasn't done any damage to the injectors or anything.

Hi, have you managed to undertake the replacement of the coolant temperature sensor?

I've just purchased a replacement and need to attempt this same repair this weekend (for a different fault to yours).

Any clues, short cuts etc, would be appreciated.
