My new Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi all!

First picture of my new Fiesta with a boot, straight off the container from Detroit. It's still due an IVA and registration so I won't have it for another 3-4 weeks or so but I took it for a spin yesterday and I love it already!

Not quite the one I thought I was getting, but it's a US spec LHD Fiesta Titanium auto with the 1.6 Petrol engine and a smooth running MyFord Touch with what appears to be a US nav card so hopefully after selling a kidney, I can get UK nav in it! Only got cloth interior but it has keyless entry and push button start.

I was originally getting a Ruby Red Titanium, but the US spec Titanium don't all have MyFord Touch and keyless so for the same price I took the better spec.

More pictures coming in about 4 weeks! :)

Yeah, American import. In the US they have a version with a boot :)

Well that's odd, I can't even imagine Americans driving something as small as a Fiesta lol!  Those mirrors US spec as well, look different to ours?

Looks nice though, I'm sure you'll get loads of people asking about it!

Thanks! They are surprisingly popular over there! Yeah, mirrors are US spec with a wide angle or something bit in it like these :)

Never seen that before either lol, nice!

Looks good! Yes I saw quite a few in the US, mainly hatchbacks although I k ow they tend to prefer saloons. Saw plenty of Foci too!

Looks like a mini mondeo lol. Nice car.

I seen a modded one before and looks amazing when modified

my question is why did you import it in? not cheaper getting a british model?

but looks good mate dont forget to put the spoiler on : P :D

Thanks! Nope, it works out at £10,000 cheaper (there is not an accidental extra zero in that either!) :D And I prefer the sedan shape too!

I *may* do but not sure if I'm keeping it stock or not!

I like it,,, like said its like a mini Mondeo

Yeah I quite like that. Apart from the massive rear lights

Driving a left hand drive car in the UK isn't the best & safest idea's

Got any plans to get a whole scrap rear shunted Fiesta and swap over the whole dash/steering etc ?

My brother had left hand drive car, he thought it was great that was until one day he went to overtake and smashed into an oncoming car which he couldn't see

No plans to convert it. I already have a much wider American car so I'm fine with LHD. I just don't even bother attempting to overtake unless I have a clear idea and if I absolutely have to, I just drop back to the point I can see- Or you look straight through the windows of the car in front if it isn't a van. If you can't see through, you look up the inside. It's all about adjusting and using the viewpoint you have. The Fiesta is narrow enough to not be obstructed too much but as long as you leave extra room you are safe :)

Ok, time to revisit this thread after eventually taking delivery this morning! Finances drastically changed for me last year and so they held my car open for me. In the past month however, I found a different one. Exactly the same car but in the American Kona Blue which is roughly midnight blue with a hint of deep purple and some metal flake. It has MyFord Touch, a sunroof and a boot! I'll update with pictures later today or tomorrow but if anyone has any picture requests, let me know!

Nice car mate,  It looks good in that colour too.

The fiesta has actually been available with a boot in some countries since 1999 the Mk4, I remember seeing loads in Mexico when I went in 2003, Badge as the Ford Ikon, I think in South Africa they were known as the Ikon aswell but other countries they were badged Fiesta.

I think the Americans have had the Fiesta for about 6 years now as the market for smaller more eco friendly cars has really taken off over there.
