So it is with regret that I announce that I will be parting company with the Mondeo on Saturday after a grand total of 1 month and 4 days. Turns out that the 'full service' the dealership promised to carry out failed to notify me of currently £1500 worth of fairly immediate work. So rejecting for full refund. Massive shame as I can safely say that it's one of the nicest cars I've driven and I will miss it greatly.

Currently looking around for a Mk2/2.5 Focus ST. Don't lose too much in way of space or power that way, so watch this space!

If anyone has recommendation of places to look for such a car then feel free to holla my way. 5 doors is a must though - do a lot of car sharing for work.

I'm sorry to hear that, but £1,500 is far too much to spend on a 2003.  Good luck with the future purchase and remember to keep us updated!

Yeah, it was a hard choice, but I would've just ended up throwing money at it.

I fear that my next car won't be a Ford though :( Looking for a 5 door ST for about £10/11 but with no more than 30k on the clock. Proving very hard to find!

Yes low mileage models will hike the prices up, but there is no reason to be afraid of a higher mileage car.  As long as it has been well treated and serviced on time, it is actually likely to be in better condition than one that has only been driven to the shops once or twice a week.

So updates - picking up new car at the weekend, however it's not going to be a Ford for now :(

Going for a fabia vrs. Hopefully going to save up over the next couple of years and then treat myself to an ST when i qualify.
