Hi there,

I have a 2010 S-max and it seems to be eating front tyres like nobodies business. I've had the car 18 months now and am on my 3rd set of tyres. They seem to last around 7-8k miles. I appreciate that these are heavy cars but has anyone got any recommendations as to which tyre seems to suit these cars best. The tyre size is 225/50. 17.  Also, what's the deal with the XL tyres? Is it advisable to fit them all round or only rear or no real need at all.
