Mk1 focus help needed!!!!

Hello I'm new on here I wonder if anyone can help me is it possible to fit a double din head unit to a mk1 focus, without paying £60 for the different centre consol can I just cut the original one with a dremel to make it fit, thanks.

    If you were to cut the dash to fit you'd lose a lot of the structural integrity of the panel unless you beef it up with something to stiffen it all up.

    Connects2 do a double din fascia for £36, only thing is you lose the ashtray/coin tray above the 12v socket.
