laumk7
I'm having to restore my TX back to factory spec as I've just placed an order for a 16 plate ST3. Now apart from the sat nav (which ill miss tbh), what's the difference between the two? I've ordered with style pack and spare wheel. The car is already made so no 4 month wait this time either

alexp999
ST suspension 6 speed gearbox Black headliner and pillar trims Thatcham Alarm (interior motion sensors) 1.6 EcoBoost Red dials ST logos on steering wheel, seats and boot Recaros Surely you looked at one before ordering? :P
laumk7
I did look at, jump in and drive one before ordering but the interior gadgets looked almost exactly the same as mine lol BTW what's the little esc button for on the centre console behind the gear lever? alexp999
Electronic Stability Control. Basically a button to turn traction control off. Generally only really needed if you want to do burnouts and look like a proper bell, imo. Might be useful for snow or some slippy conditions, but not normal use.
MarksST
You won't miss the sat nav, the ST3 has it as standard, apart from the recaros it's going to feel pretty similar inside. the esc has 3 modes on the ST (On, sport, Off)
Stoney871
Satnav is still only an option on the ST3. Sent from my SM-G930F

E5GDM
The sat nav is awful anyway, just buy a tom tom.

If it's exactly the same one that's in my TX I quite like it. I don't like it remembers no more than 6 post codes plus home, but other than that...

Plus you can get live traffic updates & camera alerts etc.

I agree that the tomtom is better but not to the extent that I would consider getting one for the Fiesta when the SatNav is adequate.
Pullock
I've gone through two Tom Tom's and after about 6 months they develop a mind of their own, they constantly lose GPS signal, take forever to plot a route and sometimes even route you the wrong way to a destination. Now I swear by google maps on my phone, it hasn't let me down once. As for the Ford built in sat nav, I haven't tried it but may get it on a future ford, can't be any worse than the Tom Tom's I've had.
Stoney871
The latest V6 mapping data is written by tomtom. Sent from my SM-G930F
Zico
I was going to say that the mapping is already tomtom. Think I have V5 in mine.
Pullock
Oh lol don't tell me this means it'd go the same way will it? Although I'd much prefer a built in sat nav as trying to mount my phone somewhere usually ends up with it on the floor.

laumk7
Tbh whoever buys my old TX is going to get an amazing deal as not only did I spec it right up on the order sheet, it's got 5 years extended warranty which I can't take with me either! Not sure what I can do about the wheels and gear lever, they might have to stay as is, as though the insurers did need to know it didn't make any difference to the premium. Mariner
I was informed by my (trusted) main dealer that Extended warranty is only valid if a private seller buys the car directly from you. If you trade it back in it becomes void.
