I've got a TomTom in the Focus and the Ford SatNav in my Fiesta ST3.

I agree that the TomTom is better but not to the extent that I would consider getting one for the Fiesta when the SatNav is adequate.

Adequate as long as you don't want speed camera alerts & traffic updates.

Lucky you!!  To be honest, the sat-nav you get on your smart phone is just as good these days, so a built in one isn't really worth it.  Mind you, I'm a bit biased considering when my car was made, sat-navs didn't even exist!

My built in nav in the TX gives me traffic updates and reroutes if necessary, it doesn't do speed camera alerts mind, but it does have the roads speed limit in the bottom left hand corner 99% of the time.

I'm assuming the nav that comes with the ST3 is the same one as the TX?

How is the standard sat nav?

Considering having it on my next fiesta, although I've heard things like it doesn't tell you the instruction until you get to said junction etc and not in advance.

As long as it's not muted (VERY easy to do btw) it'll tell you in good time, mine even tells me on certain junctions what Lane to get in

Ah thank you that makes me feel better. Glad to hear it from someone who owns one, enjoy your new ST!
