I think I might have to stop using this site.   Every time I've used it just lately it's simply frozen and the only way out has been to open Task Manager and turn off Firefox.

    Try Pale Moon which is built on Firefox but doesn't have the bloat and is consequently faster

    For general browsing I use Seamonkey, if I want speed Pale Moon and for privacy and security (such as banking or government stuff) Tor

    But I agree with Alex, try clearing your browser cache first

    I use Firefox for everything and have no issues whatsoever, even on computers with as little as 2GB RAM!!  As suggested, I'd try clearing your cache first.
