Hello, this is my first posting and its for a problem on my sons 03 1.6 Zetec. The car has been garaged for around 6 months but its just gone back on the road having passed its MOT. Now however the dashboard warning light for the airbag has come on. Initially it just flickered and then went off after a few minutes of driving but now it stays on but still flickers to the extent that it goes off and then comes back on again within a few seconds.

My gut feel is that there is a loose connection somewhere but where. Any easy bits to look at before it goes into the garage.

Hi, my focus did this not long back although for it to happen to mine i replaced the standard seats for heated leather ones. It could be a simple fix at a local garage on an ids computer telling the ecu that everything is ok, a sensor has gone or in the worst case senario (which mind had) was an airbag had been deployed and needed replacing which can be pricey but if you can just get it on an ids computer it will be able to fault find and find out whats wrong with it! hope this helps
